    Bike luggage advice

Hey I'm doing a road trip and I need some suggestions or reviews on luggage. I'm planning on doing a tank bag, tail bag and maybe saddle bags. Im taking a 2003 GSXR and the undertail hooks are cut off so I need some advice on what will work.

    Re: Bike luggage advice

I have a Nelson Rigg setup for my bike. The saddle bags and the tail bag connect together to sure everything up. I also don't have any rear hooks or passenger pegs or anything, so I tied the saddle bags to the heel guards and then to each other behind the license plate. The tail bag connects to the top of the saddle bags.

Looks something like this all put together...
(well except they were on a Speed Triple )

I've also used just the saddle bags w/o the tail bag for my IBA ride and they didn't budge at all.

Bought mine on Clearance from newenough.com and got them for a steal.

On a side note, the tail bag also fits within carry on limits for Frontier airlines...

I don't use the hooks. I have Fieldsheer soft bags. I hook the left bag across to the right bag under the tail in the front, and around each signal stalk in the rear.

Cool. Thanks for the help. I'm doing this kinda last minute and trying to get everything squared away.
