New sprockets too? You should change them as a set

Yeah...if you don't change them as a set, you'll end up replacing all of it again soon. If the chain doesn't have a master link that automatically fits your spacing, you'll have to have a chain breaker. I'm sure someone down there in the Springs has one.

rivet it on. imo. you might need a impact wrench on the sprocket off the transmission.

I'll be free Friday afternoon/evening if you still need help...though I don't have a chain breaker, I'm sure we can cut that sucker off. Since you can't get around, maybe someone here on the board would allow me to borrow a chain breaker to take over there?....anyone?

I have a dremel to grind the rivet heads off. I also have the tools to push the rivets and reset the new rivets back on. I also have a electric 1/2" inpact gun with various sockets. Does anyone have repair manual for the bike so that we can get the torque number for the various fasteners?

What you are looking for is called a "riveted master link" Most shops should have them. You just need to know the brand and type of chain you have.

    Best!
