Question Super Moto or Street race bike?

I have been getting the itch to start racing bikes and I am wondering which is easier/cheaper/more fun; A Super Moto or a Street race bike? I am sort of leaning for super moto because they look fun and easier to fix after crashes, also I can also do dirt trailed with a super moto.

SUMO= way cheaper, tons of fun (more for me) and less politics (for now).

Sumo = Awesome fun, way cheaper to race and the current group of riders are all very friendly and will help you out if you have any problems!

Well that's easy... I voted SuMo because, well, come on. But if she wants to finance the season, go sport bike racing!

    There....fixed that for you.

In all honesty. I love racing the street bike, but it is more expensive. Tires are more, entry fees are more, just about everything is more. I've been on a sumo just a couple of times, and have to admit that it's really fun.

Racing is one of the most fun things I've ever done. Highly addictive, incredibly fun and I think you'll find that no matter where you race there will be a sense of "family" associated with it.

    Best in your decision!

I voted Super Moto, but thought everybody should see what it might lead too:

Dirt Bike Based 450cc Single Cylinder Road Racer

Does anybody on this board run one of these?

I got the chance to ride one of these at Miller earlier this year, and while it was cool, I have to say for the 12-15K it costs there are WAY more fun options out there.

    Well?...

Sometimes it just takes awhile for stuff to catch on out here in the hay field.

Seems like a nice winter project in the making. Pickup up a nine-ninety-niner from the Tri-City Cycle shop and slap a fairing on it.

Would it be a good fit for Erie or Mead maybe?
