    Downtown Restaurants

Where are the places to eat around 14th and Lawrence? I know there is an Old C's a couple blocks away but that's about it.

About 6 blocks up (14th & Glenarm I think) was a really good Vietnamese/French restaurant.
Can't remember the name of it though.

Try The Market (coffee shop). They have a pretty good food selection as well, and are deli-like.

    +100 ^^^^

The Market is the bomb, and very close to your crossroads! Rforsythe - please don't sell it short as a "coffeeshop!" It is so much more!!! Also, it's probably the closest thing we have in Downtown Denver to an actual "Deli". (Sorry, I come from the Northeast where "Deli" has an entirely different meaning. I guess you could say I'm a bit of a Deli Snob. Same when it comes to finding a decent Pizza and a decent fuckin Cheesesteak in this town, but that's a different story). :P

I don't know how you define decent, but I will give a couple suggestions:

Pizza: Bova's Italian Restaurant, 71st & Federal. I moved out of that area 5 years ago so I hope its still there, but it is a small family run place with the best pizza I have had

Cheesesteak: Taste of Philly, several locations around town. It may be a chain but it is local with only about 7 places. The original at about 2400 S. Colorado Blvd looks like a little hole in the wall, but they put out a cheesesteak! The others are bigger and still put out a terrific chesesteak

    Re: Downtown Restaurants

Taste of Philly is the closest thing I've found in Denver that can compare to the cheese steaks I had while in Philly.
(patiently waiting for the Taste of Philly out in A-town to open... come on guys, get your act together!)

Pat's on the other hand is an abomination to the idea of cheese steak and should be burned to the ground
