1991 GSXR frame - steel or aluminum?

Well, the title says it all. Did the 1991 GSXR have an aluminum or steel frame? Any material difference (one steel the other alum) between the 750 and the 1000?

    "Cough*....use a magnet....*cough!

I'm 99.9% sure EVERY Gixxer (of any displacement) since the original '85 750 uses an aluminum frame. Only the Kan-a-Tuna's had the steel frames.

    P.S. You're still a hamster-f#cker though......

GSXR750s ALL have aluminum frames 85 to date. The 1100 frame is a bit different (beefier, has mounting points for the airbox trim panels), but the 1100 motor is basically a bolt in in the 750 frame. The 90-91 750 frame is shorter than the 1100 the same years, with .5 degree less rake.

There is an idea. I wish I had thought of that. Now all I need is a 200 mile long arm. I can't ask the person who's bike it is either, so don't bother with that suggestion too.
