Long-term/Winter Storage tips

So I hate to be the guy to revive a dead thread.......but being that this has been my first winter with a bike I decided to follow the manual and store it since I wasn't sure how many riding days I would get out of the winter here. Seeing how many days my boy has been able to ride I decided to un-store it...put in the battery off of the charger, filled up the tank, turned the key and hit the start button and all that stuff. Engine turns over but no starting goodness....so what's the cure here? What can I do to get her purring again?

Yeah...I am not the most mechanically inclined person in the world...doubly so with motorcycles since I have only been a bike owner for a little under a year...so what I am hearing is call someone to pick up the bike and take it to a shop to let them figure it out.
