I also heard that emails were sent out to Hispanics and told them that voting for them had been moved to Wednesday. Not sure why that group was specifically targeted.

I voted to end sufferage today. Yeah, I feel like an American now. I participated in government.

It is simply amazing that these polling stations are overwhelmed. Everyone has known all friggen year that there would be record turnout for this election.

Yeah, shit happens with machines breaking down and stuff, but there's no excuse for 4 hour long lines.

Cheap American labor is the excuse for these machines breaking down.

I mean, there's no excuse for the polling locations to be overwhelmed with voter turnout. Even where there are no problems, they just can't handle the volume.

Schools where closed because many schools are the polling places.
(Used to be the majority of polling places were public schools.)

Not all schools. Donna's was open as usual, they just had the polling confined to an external trailer classroom, and the rest of the school locked down with tight security.

Interestingly, when I voted this morning there was zero wait. I walked in, gave the lady my name, and was in the booth with a ballot in about 30 seconds. The benefits of going first thing in the morning in a state where 50% of the registered voter population already got it done early, I guess.

70% of Arapahoe county voted early according to the news report this morning.

"The county's board of elections assistant director Dick Bauer said a lengthy ballot and what he expects to be a record turnout have slowed the process. Voters can make as many as 37 selections on the ballot today, and 10 of them are issue choices, said Bauer"

I early voted and some people who were voting when I got in line were still trying to finish their ballots 30minutes later when I was leaving.
I voted NO on every ballot issue just out of disgust with the number of issues permited and the use of misleading wording and advertisements.
(Though ironically, one ammendment was to increase the number of signatures required to get an ammendment on the ballot.)

    +1

Since I didn't have a CO driver's license I had to jump through a few hoops. Even doing that at my polling place AND taking 20 mins to finish reading the blue book before stepping up to a booth, it took me 30 mins in & out. craziness, but I likes it!

Truly pathetic to see people claiming they'll riot if their candidate doesn't win, and that they've got to post a member of the equivalent of the black KKK outside the voting booths. Truly pathetic.

I can't stand Oh-Bama, but I wouldn't even consider trying to intimidate anyone to vote my way.

Isn't there a federal law banning that kind of stuff?
