    burning man GJ

I Love how stupid news articles have become.

GRAND JUNCTION (AP) - Grand Junction police are investigating the discovery of a body inside a trash bin found burning in an alley.

Fire crews responded to the blaze about 12:45 a.m. Thursday.
Firefighters extinguished the flames a short time later and discovered the charred remains of an adult male.
Authorities are calling the death suspicious.
    An autopsy is planned Thursday.

    who is investigating this Barbrady?

Yeah, reporters can be a bit off.

A reporter could walk into a crime scene, see a dead man at a table with his face in his spaghetti, a bullet hole in the side of his head, a taped off pistol on the ground next to a half eaten canoli, and STILL ask the cops "Do you suspect this was murder, suicide or accidental death?"

While stupid and counter-intuitive, the reporter in your hypothetical actually did the right thing, because his job is to find out what happened from the people who know (in this case, the cops). Imagine what the news would look like if all journalists ever did was give their version of what happened, instead of getting answers from people who really know.

Sometimes maintaining objectivity in reporting requires asking questions with obvious answers or putting aside your own assumptions. The point being that one person's "logic" will tell them one thing, while another person's "logic" will tell them something else.

I am pretty sure that "non-objective" reporting is a thing of the distant past, especially in political matters.
