SEMA in Vegas. Anybody doing it this year?

I met a wholesale distributor on the plane on the way out to Vegas. He sells/owns an auto products company--paint, sanding supplies, equipment to NAPA and the like. He says that he is busy as hell as it looks like people are fixing what they got vs. buying new.

Saw lots of reps running around Ceasar's Palace last night.

Was this Right before you attended the 'Elton John and his Red Piano' show by any chance?
My nephew, hand-built the only deuce coupe showing at SEMA right now, its for a local company that builds street rods.

Ha, yes it was. Took my mom and her wheel chair out for a stroll.

Nice! My folks went last night as well and said it was a great show - but they are just shy of being wheeled-in themselves.

    What did you think?
I would imagine the expectations are sky high for that show. (right there with the ticket price)

I was thinking about placing up a revue' The show was most excellent. Price--we were comped by Ceasar. Dinner, at Voda, was too. But then we blew the wad at the slots. I really hate those slots, very tight, no options on video black jack.) But, somehow, I/we keep managing to stay slightly ahead. There are a bunch of good videos on-line from the show. Check out the Pamela Anderson stripper one. Ha. I'm glad your parents had a fine time.

I had the opposite problem - that I had to go. Oh well. Heres what I got in my couple minutes of walking around:

Saw some of the big semi's rolling out the back of the convention center this morning. And there's a maroon Lotus Elise in the parking lot of my shitty hotel. Viva Las Vegas!!!
