    Logan's Run... you betcha!

Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

Re: Movies you wish they'd remake, and why.

How about we get someone other than Lucas to redo Ep 1-3 and 6?
How about wookies in Ep6 (as it was supposed to be) instead of f*ing four-flushing furbag ewoks*?

*don't get me started on ewoks...or Lucas...

    -=-

I thought the whole point of TRON was that it was amazing for its day.

Now, it'll just be another CGI'd movie...there really was no plot, just effects, and I'm unsure it's worth redoing just for lightcycles, tanks, and the masher-things...though maybe... The lightcycles are probably 99% of why I ride today.

    =-=

    Indiana Jo...oh, right. Nevermind.

    -=-

I can't really think of much I'd like to see re-hacked for the current business climate and CGI expectations.

I mean Great Escape with a CGI'd bike leaping over the fence like something from Biker BoyZ would just kill it...same with a 2F2F-style "Bullit"...

I love Akira Kurosawa films, but don't want them redone as Kill Bill 17.

I dunno, maybe I'm just tired of everything being redone, especially as it's usually worse than the original.

So, maybe the film industry could learn from Ford's "New Thunderbird" and quit remaking the past.

How about just some decent new/creative/original movies that don't suck?

    Can Hollywood do that?

I suppose they could do a Conan the King before Ahnuld bites the dust...it'd probably suck, but so did all the Conan movies.

We just watched them despite their suckatude.

Conan was kinda like Beastmaster, but without the cute fuzzy animals and marginally less gay. Well, maybe...

    Red Sonja with Megan Fox?

Any attempt to remake this masterpiece today would be an epic failure... All of the whiny P.C. idiots would have a field day with this which would lead to an atrocity of a movie...

Some movies are best left alone and Blazing Saddles is one.

Reading Triple Detante right now before I hop back into the Aprentice Adept series. The Incarnations of Immortality are rock solid as well. Every read Firefly? Erotic thriller by Peirs. Pretty good one too.

Who wants to read it to me?

Unless it has lots of fast-moving pictures, I get too bored to read...

    The Beastmaster.

Because I would like to see how they cast Rip Torn's and Tanya Robert's characters.

Dar would be played by Paul Walker.

Wel, most would think they would leave some movies to die in peace, like the Star Trek films. However, some can't leave well enough alone.

Great call! I was going to list that. Funny thing, is that one of the officers (captain?) of the ship was the guy from Naked Gun.
