    Fuel Question 94 CBR

I have a 1994 CBR. I am trying to put the fuel tank on the bike, but fuel keeps leaking from one of the vent nipples above the fuel petcock. This is a track bike, so there are no vacuum lines attached to the tank. The bike ran before without this problem, so I am wondering why it just started leaking now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Re: Fuel Question 94 CBR

There are usually 2 lines coming off of the tank itself (not the petcock) 1 is a vent line that runs inside the tank to the top near the filler neck, The other is a drain line to allow fuel or water spilled into the recess for the filler cap to drain, which also runs down through the tank itself. If either one of these has rusted through or broken in the tank, it can cause a fuel leak.
    Thanks, Jim
