Track Days and Pricing for High Plains Raceway

Does anyone have any information on whether there will be organized track days at HPR yet? If so, what about dates and pricing? Just thought I'd get this started. Thanks!

I'm working on having some track days there in 2009. I'll post up info as soon as I have it. Pricing also TBA

RYBO (Chicane Trackdays) said he was planning to run some trackdays at HPR.
But as far as I know nothing has been officially announced/scheduled.
    EDIT: NINJA'D!!!!!!!!

And yes, the actual prices, dates, and other details have been slow in coming from HPR themselves.
(Don't know if they're just being track teases or just haven't finalized the details yet.)

+1 on really wanting to know the details.

It's been difficult scheduling the track because CAMA wants to be sure that the clubs that make up CAMA get their needs met first. To my knowledge they are finalizing details about outside rentals soon and I should have some info.

I'm also working on scheduled days at PPIR and Pueblo for 2009 and will publish a schedule as soon as I have it!

Have I told you lately how much I love you Scott?
(Still bummed that I had to miss your PPIR day.)

Do you know if they've scheduled the MRA races out at HPR yet?

yup! the MRA is one of the CAMA clubs and have their schedule for the track confirmed.

You won't want to miss the June races with the USGPRU joining in! Think about whole grids filled with 2 stroke GP machines!

    5/9 - 5/10 MRA Race #2 at HPR
6/6 - 6/7 MRA Race #5 at HPR (with USGPRU)
    7/25 - 7/26 MRA Race #8 at HPR
    8/8 - 8/9 MRA Race #9 at HPR
    8/29 - 8/30 MRA Race #10 at HPR

As the GP guys would say: "if it takes more than 2 strokes, you're doing it wrong"

Let's keep our fingers crossed that CAMA brings back Thursday bike nights like what they ran at SCR.

I'm relatively ignorant to track days and what not, but while I was at Performance Cycle in Denver, the guy helping me out told me you don't need a novice license/permit or whatever you call it to participate in a track day at HPR. Is this true?

What exactly was that...or better yet, what were the times before? I wasn't living here when SCR was around.

Since HPR has yet to officially open, they probably have not yet determined the requirements. RYBO would have more insight on this plus he has his own requirements for Chicane regardless of the location of the event. I would hope that CAMA does require some sort of certification like PMP has done the past 2 years if they plan on sponsoring their own track days. It would be unfortunate to have another incident like La Junta in 2006.

Every Thursday from 4:30 to sundown was bikes only at SCR for $45. If CAMA does do something like this at HPR, don't count on it being as inexpensive as it was at SCR.

SCR was easy to do since you didn't need a full compliment of cornerworkers. HPR is gonna be tough since you can't see the whole track from the pits. Would suck to go down somewhere unseen. With that I think HPR will be more $$ per event if you need cornerworkers.
