I'm looking for a towing company that will just haul away an 81 ford f150 for little or no cost. I also need to find a place to have a 54 chrysler wagon stored and towed to. Any suggestions on companies that can handle this near hancock and platte in the springs?

Donate it to charity, they will haul it away for free, you get a tax deduction and they don't care if it runs or not. Not sure about the chrysler though.

For the Ford - 2d the charity thing. If that does not work then maybe one of the pick and pull lots will come get it and haul it. there are a couple around the Springs.
For the 54, if you just need someone to haul it and it runs you can rent a uhaul car dolly and contact me. I have a F250 diesel and can hook the trailer and haul for you. If it is not running, then getting it on a trailer is a pain. Maybe a tow company with a flatbed and winch.

U-Pull and Pay in C Springs will pay you for the F150 if you have a title. You can rent a U Haul flat bed trailer, Kick JohnEffinK a little $$, and take car of both of them in one day.

I just uhaul flatbedded a car up from TX about 10 days ago. Cost for the uhaul was $300ish with trailer insurance with a mandatory 6 days of rental...local for a few hours cant be that much for the uhaul.

Neither are running. I can get the title to the truck if need be since I am pretty sure my name is on it too. I don't know why my dad won't just get rid of the big boat its a mess right now and he will never do anything with it but it has sentimental value (his parents bought it brand new when he was born) I'm sure in another 30 years I will be having it hauled away too....Oh and money is not an issue just need to get it done before the city takes his baby away and he has a mental breakdown.

Ha! I would just let the city take them both but my dad absolutely will not get rid of the Chrysler. So many people have come by with offers but he won't take any of them and just lets it rust away. Nothing I can do to change his mind and I really think he will go into a long extended depression if he lets it get towed by the city. He's had years to do this but the logistics are a little complicated since he is disabled and we both live in Denver and these are on his condemned property in the Springs. I took the 31st off may end up heading down to take care of it myself if they are still there.

I just had zoning make me move my project cars this past summer.
I found a starage lot on Craigslist that was a lot cheaper than I found via the yellow pages.($53 month for two 70's muscle cars.)
U-Haul car-dollys are $40 a day.
Tell them you're towing something else besides a '53 Land Yacht though or they might make you rent the extra-large one.( For cars over 3,000 lbs)
The normal one is fine for short hauls.

Great idea but I don't have the time, energy, money, or desire to start a project like this. My brother said he would do it but my dad wants it restored to original condition not updated/hotrodded. He's such a PITA sometimes.

I found a couple craigslist postings that I forwarded to my dad and also called him at lunch to tell him to get his butt down there and take care of it but $20 bucks says I end up down there Wednesday doing it for him.

You might be suprized how much that truck is worth just in scrap.
Bet you get a 500 bill out of it. I took a forklift to the scrap this summer and it was 12000 pounds @ 10c a pound added up quick.

Well then I guess I better call him tonight and see if he took care of it. If not I will have to go look and see if I have the title to that truck somewhere. If not I will have to hit the DMV tomorrow at lunch I guess and get one cause I know he will never find it if he has it. Though I'm telling him I'm keeping any cash that comes out of it as a fee for taking care of business

you can call any tow company that does personal property tows... they will tow it to there yard at no charge for you... hold for the time needed then take care of it... or you can take it to the scrape get about 200 bucks but you will need the title.. finale choice leave it in the middle of the street and the city will have randys take it to the impound.. never go get it and the car is gone...
these are the only 2 that i know for a fact that do the personal property tows...
