    Want to try: DR400

I have talked to MILLIONS of people, read ZILLIONS of reviews, and been told a GAZILLION different things. Now I want to try out a DR400 before I decide on what I am going to buy for a trail, Dual Sport, Camping bike. Anyone have one that an experienced rider can take out for a really short time? No dirt, or woods. Your neighborhood is fine. I just want to get a feel for one before I commit.

    Thanks,
    Dev

Dana, talk to "GregsGSXR", I think he owns a DR... but don't know any details.

Thanks Jeff but I don't like that guy. He is too nice and lots of fun to hang out with.

Rybo's the owner of my previous DR650 now, you might be able to persuade him into letting you take it out. Just MHO but I'd go with the 650.

I think the XR 650 is too big for him, as it was even too big for me for trails. Sold the XR 600 and XR 650 to get DRZ 400's or WR 450's.
Try Firecracker Hill outside of Nederlands and you will want a lower profile bike for sure.
If you connect with the Firestone guy, I am only a couple miles away and you can come ride a KLX 300 too.

    Re: Want to try: DR400

Don't need the 650 to start Ralph. Looking for something the wife can take over when I am ready to upgrade.

Hey John, yeah, I looked at the 650. More than I need.. As is the KLR.

    All I need is a DRZ400.

    Re: Want to try: DR400

I think you misread. I'll buy the stuff for your quoted $3000 give or take $2500

Aside from all this silliness, you're welcome to try out a DRZ anytime we can make the logistics work out.
