Pass line and Don’t pass line have the same odds if you included the 12 being a push on the Don’t Pass.
If you bet $6.00 on the Don’t Pass Line it means they will take your money if a 7 or 11 is rolled and pay you $6.00 if 2 or 3 is rolled.
Now after the number is roll on the come out (4,5,6,8,9,10)…
You cover your Don’t pass bet by making a $6.00 Place 6 or 8 bet.
If the 7 is rolled (6 possible combinations) the Don’t Pass line gets paid $6.00 covering the place bet.
If ether the 6 or 8 is rolled (5 possible combinations) the Place 6 or 8 you get paid $7.00 which covers your Don’t pass bet and give you a $1.00

Yeah, but the only problem with that, is that 12 isn't a come-out roll push, it's a loss. At least in Clark County casinos, Nevada.
I've never played a craps game, where 2, 3, and 12 were not all losses on come-outs. Not in Vegas, or any of the reservation casinos in New Mexico.
Pass vs. Don't Pass should always have the same math behind them. The house wouldn't have it any other way.

One caveat of course, is that it is always at the houses discretion, to alter their game rules. It is not beyond the realm to have a casino say that 12 is a push on a Come-out.
But like I said... I've just never seen it, between those two states.

I'll say one thing for sure.... Being able to finally play $10/$20 or even $6/$12, will finally get rid of some of the no-fold-'em Hold 'em types up there, and put some legitimacy back into the game.

Don't Pass
The don't pass is almost the opposite of the pass line bet. If the come out roll is a 2 or 3 then you win, a 7 or 11 you lose. A 12 is a push, except in Reno and Lake Tahoe, where a 2 is a push instead of the 12. Otherwise, the dice are rolled over and over until either the point or a 7 is rolled. If the 7 comes first you win, if the point come first you lose. All wins pay even money.
I prefer Texas Holdem No-limit Tournaments myself…

The Pass Line
The pass line bet is put on the the pass line itself on a come out roll. You can tell it is a come out roll if there is a black laminated marker on the table that says "off." If the come out roll is a 7 or 11, then you win even money. If the come out roll is a 2, 3, or 12, then you lose. If any other total is rolled (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) that total is called "the point." The dealer will turn over the marker that says "off" to the white "on" side, and place it on an area of the table with that number, to help the players remember what the point is. Then, the shooter will roll the dice until he either rolls that same point again, or a seven. If a seven comes before the point, then you lose. If the point is rolled first, then you win even money.

I dunno Randall. I guess maybe outside of the places I've played, the "12 = push" rule might be more prevalent that I'm aware, in the case of a Don't Pass bet. Have you actually seen this in practice anywhere?
