    I rode my first Ducati

Thanks to Deb and Ian I was able to get out Monday for a short little ride...on the 848. What a sweet bike. It took a little getting used to since all my bikes are R6's but once I settled in it was smoot riding. I haven't been on the street in over a year but damn it was great.

What color is that? It looks like "Burtn Umber" from the big Crayola box.

How much interest would there to be rent one of these if it was available? Lets say @225-250 per day?

We're so glad you enjoyed it, girl! Wish I could've joined but I am a slave to work. You got to do one thing I haven't - I can't even stand the 848 up (damn these stubby legs). Good thing I have two other Ducs to ride or I might be depressed about that, lol.

Damn, we are really gonna miss you.

Btw, Barn, not sure why it looks so orange in the pic but it's Ducati red. I know - it'd be more impressive in Dark like my bike but alas, it's not a perfect world, lol.
...you're one of them, aren't you? No, I'm something else...

It's a trick. Get an axe.

848's are a awesome, smooth riding and power delivery, but they don't/shouldn't get you in trouble.... cool

Damn....you make that Duc look GOOD!

Glad you enjoyed it. I enjoyed riding Doug's old hot-rodded 750 sport, and Steve's Mille. They both sounded awesome. Twins are not exactly my cup of tea, but I'd like to ride one of the new 1198's, an "S", or an "R" if I could. Actually, I'd love to ride the new Aprilia V4.

Speaking of rentals, I’ve been searching for a Buell (or anything sporting) in the Charlotte, NC area. I can rent a 1125R for $125 per day ($2000 deposit) or a Blast for $50 per day, and they got nothin’ in between. It might be fun to wring the crap out of a Blast on Deals Gap…or not!
