FWIW we did a class with ABATE last year where folks at the end could take the endorsement test. That's how I got mine back, along with a few more folks. I dunno, would something like that be valuable to to again this summer?
From the gleanings of this thread ---- yes.

    Re: Motorcycle endorsement?

I know my mom right now is getting back into riding and all she has is her permit, she didnt renew her MC Endorsement a while back and it dropped off her record. She tried taking the test but apparently drifting over a very tight u-turn line, while going 5 miles an hour, means she isn't safe enough for real world driving and cant have her license... She still rides to and from work on occasion and has put probably close to 2,000 miles on her little ninja. Not sure if she will try the riding test again or not.

Anyways, I don't see a good excuse for not having an endorsement. Everyone should take a MSF Class before riding, and I know atleast with T3RG that sucessfully completing the final test for the class would allow you to go get your endorsement right after. Interestingly though, the lady who taught my class was a good enough instructor but a "know it all" who didn't know all. She swore up and down that I would not be able to get my license until 18 even though the law stated I just needed to hold my permit for a year. Not being one to just take someone elses word for it, I went to the DMV after a year of holding my permit and got my license two months before turning 18.
