    right now since i can't take the baby to the daycare in the gym alan watches him, so i have to go later, and since i go later, i can't be very long because i have to boobie feed the little one. so the tamarac one would be "too far" right now, but later on when he's older and can go to the daycare in there then i can go there for sure!

    You are on the wrong side of town for me to workout with.
    Actually you do not need a buddy to work out with, that is a cop-out. Be your own Personal trainer.

    lol, yes wyck i also pump but try to limit that to only while im at work so they stay stimulated and make more milk. which isn't working so if anyone has tips on increasing milk supply lemme know.

    I dont need a "buddy" i need someone, or would like to have someone to work out with that knows what they are doing so that i get the results i want. all i know is eliptical, weights, sauna... in that order.

    i can go to the gym every day and lose 15 lbs which is what i did before i got pregnant, but i also want to get toned and have definition, and i dont know what to do to achieve that.

    eliptical, weights, sauna is EXACTLY what I do, 5 to 6 times a week. I have 13 more pounds to lose.
    I have also cut my fat intake to as low as possible. I am going to have six-pack abs by the time I hit the beach.

    That is where the weight training comes in. Contrary to popular belief, it is very hard for a woman (because they lack testosterone) to get big and buff without drugs. You do the weight training; high reps, low weight. You may need to add in some protein (here come the jokes. lol) to your workout to get the definition and tonining you want.

    when i did that and cut out all junk/fatty food from my diet, i lost 15 lbs in about a month and a half. but i dont think that i gained any muscle.

    and thats why i'm looking for someone that knows what they're doing so i'm not either wasting my time/energy or doing it wrong and getting the wrong results.

    in the past two weeks that i've been working out with a trainer i've lost a little weight(if you base it by scale weight) but have gained more muscle and i want to continue that. i can keep doing what he's shon me so far but i know that after a while your body gets used to it and you plateau.

    can't really "diet" now because i'm nursing, but i have cut out most junk foods. i can already see some changes and i love it!!!

    You're on the right track girl though you are better off than me if you are gaining muscle and losing weight at the same time right off the bat. Whenever I start working out with weights I ALWAYS gain weight first then drop later, whether I use protein shakes and supplements or not. But I would much rather gain weight or stay the same and build some sexay muscles than do a crap ton of cardio to lose a bunch of weight and be skinny but still flabby.

    ha, yeah like the first 4-6 weeks, after that i think my metab. is the same. I dropped the 30lbs i gained during my pregnancy within the first 6 weeks, then gained 10 lbs back.

    A scale is a bad way to measure progress (especially because muscle weighs more than fat); ignore it and go by what you look like. By the way Suki, you looked great when I saw you on Saturday

    If I was in your area Suki I would come work out with you, I just started personal training sessions today. I've lost 10 lbs in the last week and a half and feel great.

    I'm just keeping track of the exercises that she's having me do, so that I can continue them after my sessions run out. Though it would be nice to have someone to work out with.

    I tend to push myself pretty hard though. (borderline crazy) I'm logging 6:30-7min/mile currently. I'm at the point where it's getting hard to shave seconds off.
