    Australian wildfire Koala

    Saw this picture on a story about the Australian fires...

    That Koala is named Sam. When the firefighters got Sam to the shelter, there was another Koala named Bob. Apparently Sam and Bob had love at first sight, because the wildlife workers reported that they "keep putting their arms around each other and giving each other hugs. They really have made friends and it is quite beautiful to see after all this. It's been horrific"

    A medic working out there sent us that story on one of my other forums as well. He was saying that the lil' guy had some pretty nasty burns on his paws and that koalas don't typically approach people like that....just kind of a touching aspect to the horrors they are all dealing with right now.

    Heh.. guess I should have read the above story before posting this, eh? lol
