Rear Stand Recommendation?

Anyone have any experience with these?

I know they're not Pit Bulls, and you probably get what you pay for. I'm just looking for an inexpensive stand for routine maint. like chain cleaning for both my R1 and my wife's Seca II. So I need one that is interchangeable between spool and roller, or at least roller to fit both bikes, and trying to keep costs down.

Any suggestions or comments appreciated.

Agreed. You do get what you pay for, and even during routine maintenence the (apparently more expensive) LP stands have buckled and dumped bikes.

Your call, personally I'd rather spend a little more and save my bike from the concrete.

I have the LP and I hate it. Scrathes the hell out of my swing arm. Get the spool stand if U get LP.

Ive heard good things of redline but havent ysed one myself.

Get a Pit Bull, they're well worth it.

The rear stand they show on their website looks like it doesn't have much leverage (thats probably why they show a guy using his foot to push the rear stand in place). I've used a pitbull on my Falco for the past three years without a problem. I think pitbull also sells a set of rear feet that have both the spool and roller piece on 'em. You might checkout woodcraft as well. I've heard good things about their front stands.

the front one is a little shaky, but the rear one is bomb proof, no complaints whatsoever. and at $99 for the pair you CANNOT beat it....

i would get an additional front stand that goes underneath the front frame stock for heavy duty work.

imho the pit bulls and some of the others out there are way over-built and priced accordingly...

Sure the Handy stands are a good deal, but you get what you pay for. My friend bought them for his F4i and the front stand is unstable as hell, I would NOT trust my bike or anyone else's on that thing, at least if you had to put any pressure whatsoever on the bike. If you have the money, go Pit Bull IMO, better than buying new bodywork because your POS stand dropped your bike. The Handy rear stand wasn't too bad though...

The Woodcraft stands look pretty beefy to me, though I've never used one...

I know this post is a little old, and I don't know that anyone cares, but I bought a Pit Bull rear stand with anodized (purple) spools for the rear. WIth shipping and the purple spools, I only paid $153. I have no idea what they charge now(that was 11/2000) but I would not imagine it to be that much more. At the time I looked at everything out there, and I was really happy with the price, and I think the stand is awesome.
