    Playin' Hooky

Susan and I decided to do some riding today instead of working. Mainly we just rode around in the lowlands to stay in the warm air. But we did go up Boulder Canyon to the Falls. Here's a few pics:

Yes, that's right. Somebody got a brand new 2009 red, white and blue CBR (not me).

Was trying to look at the scenery but can't take my eyes off of the bikes...lol. Very nice..
The cheapest mod that you can make to increase HP on two wheels is to remove the weight from the equation. In other words, put the spoon down once in a while and loose some fat off ur a*s ..lol.

The road was clean up to the Falls where we turned around.

That bike will work better on Trail Ridge than the other one.

The bike wasn't the problem that day. But this one will definitely handle the altitude better!

Oh yeah. It's getting some much needed TLC at the moment. She'll probably have Brian powdercoat the wheels at some point.

    Re: Playin' Hooky

Hey, Everyone, thanks for all the great comments about the bike!

I still love my ol' 1989 CBR, but what a difference 20 years makes!!! An obvious difference I was looking forward to was having more horsepower, but what impresses me most is the ease of handling... seems almost effortless going through the turns. Riding is easier, which makes it more fun! But gotta admit, I LOVE THE HORSEPOWER!!!
And of course, I think it's super cool 'cause it's red, white and blue.
