The trails are going away, quickly

Headed to the house for a vote now that it has passed the Senate. You should be a little mad about this. You should.

Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

Oh yea, it's f'ing stupid dude.... We had an all in store meeting at GPM and were informed of this a few days prior of this law being in full effect. I honestly think it's by far the stupidest thing besides the war lol..... They will take away everything at some point and man will they regret it....

I get angry when Senators and Representatives from someplace like Rhode Island get to vote for restrictions on what we can do in Colorado. What makes it even worse is when morons in Denver and Boulder who think that an outdoor adventure is watching the Discovery Channel vote for people like Marc Udall, Ken Salazar and Diana Degette that go along with this crap. Those lands belong to ALL of us, not just a few that are physically able to access a wilderness area. I packpack, but I also ride a dual sport, I ride a mountain bike, and I have a 4 wheel drive, none of which you can do in a wilderness area. So now only young, healthy people are allowed to enjoy the wilderness? If we don't stop the Feds, we will have nothing left. Don't think for a second that sportbikes are safe from them. Afterall, who needs a motorcycle capable of going 180 mph when the speed limit maximum is 75?

If you want to protect the trails in CO, join COHVCO. They do awesome work to protect our right to ride off-road. Membership is only $25 per year! You can join online at:

    http://www.cohvco.org/

The mission of the Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO) is to represent, assist, educate, and empower OHV recreationists in the protection and promotion of off-highway motorized recreation throughout Colorado. COHVCO is an environmental organization that advocates and promotes the responsible use and conservation of our public lands and natural resources to preserve their aesthetic and recreational qualities for future generations.

WASHINGTON -- The House Wednesday defeated a bill to set aside more than 2 million acres in nine states as protected wilderness, including Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

    Yay! but..
A majority of House members supported the bill, but the measure was defeated because it did not receive the needed two-thirds vote. The vote was 282-144 in favor -- two votes short of approval.

Democratic leaders vowed to bring the bill back, but did not say when or in what form.
    Just a temporary stay
