    SBK Races

Don't forget to set your Tivo this Saturday
for the next SBK races this weekend.
They are on Saurday instead of Sunday due
to the races being in Qatar sp. Early afternoon
down here in the Springs on Speed.

    Peace Bash

I like Spies so much it's bordering on gay. I hope he wins the championship this year, and so far he looks like he could do it...

so glad he is... and he's doing it on a R1 and not the Gixxer. So nobody can say it was the gixxer he and Mladin were on last year that helped them win.

It funny - a lot of the spectator comments that I've read say that he's winning because of the R1 now.

    Re: SBK Races

I too am happy for Spies. Makes it seem Mladin would have done OK had he gone to World SBK years ago. Just can't figure out the momma Spies thing. Always seemed kinda strange to me.

Corser pretty amazing on a brand new bike too. Hope Xaus gets going too.

Makes me more confused about Ralph Sheheen telling me that the Daytona 200 was "the most prestigious race in America" for what seemed like 20 or 30 times (obviously scripted by the jackasses at DMG). Does that mean the World SBK round here is less prestigious? I was at Daytona the last year they ran real Superbikes. Seemed more prestigious to me. And there was no NASCAR rolling start.

Really? Then why wasn't the other R1 anywhere near the front? It's Spies. Suzuki is REALLY kicking itself in the ass now..... Scruff Dog is SO going to owe me a doller at season's end!

David, if I ever need a name misspelled, I'll call ya

Sykes finished 5 seconds behind in the 2nd race. He didn't place too well in Superpole, but was putting in pretty close times in the last practice. Still, it's obvious to all but the delusional that the his wins are because of his talent. The bike was definitely slower on the straights.

I also have $$$ on Spies

    Re: SBK Races

Will be watching the races tonight. Can't wait! I'm happy about the race results. I'll stop there so I don't incriminate myself spoiling the fun for others.

Seriously though, what the hell is up with Makoto Tamada??? I don't get him... Is it a motivation issue? Is the 10R really that bad?

I miss the year he actually would even beat Rossi on the same bike, or even the WSBK wild card days when he would blow everyone away at Sugo...

Hope he gets his form/mojo back... That guy's going to get sacked soon if he doesn't get out of the tail end of qualifying/races...
