As of this date, the track is becoming damaged by the military usage. The berms are being damaged, the area between turn nine and ten (the area that was just repaved) is being used as a skid pad with gravel as the medium, which is damaging the asphalt.
    That doesn't sound very good.

The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Has anyone seen the track? There's a trackday this weekend and if the track is in poor condition what are the options?

Guys, relax. The track was closed this week for repair, and from what I understand it's ready to go for Sunday.

I am hearing the same thing on my end. Some teaching was going on this last week, and I hear it looks fine.

Take it easy just as you would beginning of the season "anywhere". Road or skill, just take it easy pre-season.

    Guys

Did a little digging on this story

Mark Schellinger has been doing some private teaching at PMP this week. According to Tammy (his wife) he has not reported anything that would prevent us from have a fun track day or good race season.

So......I would assume that we would have heard if the there was new pavement damage or something else that would have prevented us from using the track

    Re: PMP issues

I've been speaking with the PMP people all week. The track is in good condition and they are making sure that it's in the best possible condition for our day on Sunday.

I actually tried to reserve the track for earlier in the season and they said that they would prefer that I used the 22nd so that they could clean, and prepare the track for our use.

PM me if you have any questions

    Scott
