Re: Low sided on Friday.. Looking for parts/advice.

Wow... awesome feed back all. Peeps on this forum are rockstars! Quality for sure! Yea sorry bout not listing the bike info. I have a blue/white 2008 GSXR 600.

Jackal - I will def hit you up.. I'm shopping round right now locally, online and otherwise. After a gorgeous day like today, I'm totally about getting on the road again asap. Those prices are friggin awesome!

Riverdog - Yea.. I will have it inspected eventually. After collecting myself for a minute, I did the ride of shame down the road (prolly zoomed up to 50-60) before I turned around. Seems to ride alright. Was a low speed low side: max of 25mph. And it stopped at a curb (lol.. stopped) when hitting tires first. Steering dampner is loose, just needs tightened. Thank god it didn't snap off or warp. I would claim through my insurance, but right now I pay $25/mo, my deductible is prolly high and I think by claiming it, my insurance rate will go up dramatically. Thus, it's simpler to fix and not claim.

MetaLord 9 - I'm very tempted to limp over there tonight. I will try to tighten down my dampner tonight when I get off of work and do the ride of shame over to Bostons tonight to meet some of you guys. I can still shift using the shift arm, there's just no peg. Clutch lever snapped and is twisted to shit, but it perfectly disengages the clutch. I'd like some opinions from those with more experience about any damage I may have that i can't see. Will def feel like a doucher ridin a wrecked bike! lol What is the best, non-hwy way to get to Bostons from Wadsworth and Ken-Caryl? Is it the Bostons over near Highlands Ranch AMC 24? AND finally, what time do you guys usually meet over there?

A-W-E-some. I'll head over as soon as I can. I need to run home and take care of my dogs first. You'll recognize me.. I have the thrashed bike and really nice Orange/Blue Arai Helmet with white black composite Jacket. Is it possible to own a helmet that is potentially worth more than your bike?! LOL. jk

    Jason,
If you're at Wads & Ken Caryl the simplest non-highway route is going to be ken caryl/mineral all the way to broadway, right (south) on broadway until you get just past C470. Take a right at that first light (by the gas station & village inn) and Boston's will be on your right. If it's dangerous to ride the thing then don't chance it, you don't want to risk damaging it more, or worse, damaging yourself. If you wanna limp it though, I know that Devaclis (Dana), Sortarican (Jeff), and a whole host of other folks that wil be there happen to have a lot of great knowledge on fix'n & tune'n. Hell those two alone can probably either fix anything with a motor or at least send you to the right person who can!

I'm Chris & I'm on a red '07 Ninja ZX-6R and I'll probably be there around 5 if I decide not to do a short ride beforehand. Otherwise, 6-6:30ish. Dana's on a yella DRZ & Jeff's in Barbie's Dream Car.

Lol.. alright see you there. If I see a pink corvette.. I know I'm in the right spot!! Will look for you all out on the Patio. I should be k to come down. Just need to take it easy. If any of you see me wobble in somewhere between 5:30 and 6:30, feel free to introduce yourself and save me a little bit of seemingly clueless wandering. That would be greatly appreciated. Besides, I only bite good lookin womenses and am pretty chill for the most part.
