    While this isn't a link to the particular acronym meanings of GTU and GTO, here is the rule book that will describe for you how the MRA defines those classes.

    GT is usually Grand Touring and the U is for Under. O is for Open or Over. The under and over are for engine sizes. GTU is basically up to 600cc inline four. And open or over is an open class. Run what ya brung, no CC limit.

    Have you ever wondered what the car, Pontiac GTO means?

    Gran Turismo Omologato - It's Italian for Grand Touring Homolgamated.

    I have no idea what Homolgamated means...

    Homologated means it has been approved for racing use, usually by meeting a minimum quantity of production. For example Ducati must build a minimum number of 1098R's which are available for sale to the public to legalize the bike for superbike racing.

    2003-2006 btw.

    but no they didnt help cuz kawasaki obviously needed the 37ccs to slowly keep up with compition, and still slow : P

    but I love my kawi : )
