I can't doubt his courage, but I don't think this is the sport for him...

    That's just wrong...

I'm sorry, but I think the loser here is Bryan Fry... Even though he won, he still lost.

Win: You beat the guy with no arms or legs

Lose: You got beat by the guy with no arms or legs

I don't think this sport is for either of them! This was Fry's first win, over a congenital amputee, by decision. Its bad enough going to decision in a fight anyway, but thats just embarrassing.

[EDIT:] Bryan Fry does not have Sickle-Cell Anemia. I don't think he was trying to KO this kid. The article goes into a little more depth about why they agreed on the fight, etc.

I would have been interesting to see Fry try and grapple with him though, instead of pot-shoting him from standing. I bet Maynard would have given him a tough-go, and who knows.... He maybe could have pulled off a submission even.

Then again, I wouldn't have wanted to lose, either.

He'd probably be a tougher challenge for you, Frank.
And I'm guessing we're not exactly in the same weightclass, either.

But I suppose if he wanted to roll, I'd roll. Hey man... a fight's a fight. I wouldn't punch the guy (doesn't seem fair), but I would snap the rest of his arm off, and put it on my mantle.

I read he can benchpress 360 pounds; although not sure how that would work if you don't have far to push the bar up.

One advantage he has is that he gets to compete in a lower weight class even though he has greater strength than a 135 pounder.

Fry's SON has sickle cell, and his mother cares for handicapped individuals. I don't think with his record Fry is looking at a career anyway.

Don't ya have to have elbows to benchpress?

Well I bend my elbows when I bench. My point was how you actually could measure 360 pounds when it is not a true bench press. Don't get me wrong though, I commend this guy for follwoing his dreams
