Anyone know when the 2005 race school forms are going to be available?

I sent them to Dave, however his PC caught on fire (literally). So I'll get those sent back to him tonight, and hopefully they'll find their way to the MRA website shortly.

    Re: Mra race school

I just printed out the all the forms. This will be my 1st year racing.
Do I have to fax in both the MRA application and the race school forms? Or can I only fax in the race school form.

You should wait to send in the MRA app until after you've passed the school, since that is a prerequisite to getting your license.

Do you need a crew pass?
Do you have to join the AMA?

Lurch said it was $290 to do the school and get your licence, The school is $150 plus the comp license for $80 plus the transponder fee of $60. There is the $290, but not sure on the other stuff.

You don't need a crew pass, you do need to join AMA $39

Do I have to safety wire my bike to partake in the race school. I can't afford to race yet, but I would like to upgrade my riding skills so when the money comes I'll be ready. Thanks

No, you don’t have to safety wire your bike for the school. Just remove your mirrors and tape up lights.

I can think of at least one individual that crashed and they still allowed him to race.
