Spearfish Canyon...now that looks like an amazing ride. I would want to go slow one time for the scenery, then one time at my pace for the sheer exhilaration.

I was just through spearfish canyon last weekend. I wasn't overly impressed. It's always packed and the carving is.....eh. It's a long ride for 20 miles of watching the back of a tourists' mini van that going 15 f*&cking miles an hour. Scenery is nice though.

Ok, so I retract my "my pace" statement, but would still do it for the scenery. Nothing like Colorado back country unknown unused by tourists roads to spoil ya =D

I've been stuck in here behind logging trucks in a cage several times. On a weekday, with rain in the forecast, the canyon was deserted. A couple cars near the big Lodge, a couple bicycles, and a handful of outher touring bikes. The carving isn't that tricky, which is good, because the scenery is very distracting.
