Need some Colorado Springs help. - Dealership visit.

    Hey Southies...

So Tanya and I are wanting to potentially buy a used 2008 CX-9 down at Bob Penkhus Mazda. She and I were both wondering if somebody might be so kind as to make a quick 5-min pitstop there, and just make sure it looks nice. Basically walk around it and see that there are no major outside blemishes. Right now, the dealer website doesn't have any photos up, so they may have just taken ownership of it.

If you want to look at the interior, that's a bonus. It's the "Touring" model, so it has all the nice power features, leather, etc. I expect it will be in decent enough shape on the inside, but if there is anything worth mentioning, we're all ears.

Anyhow.... Thanks in advance, if you find yourself in the area, and wanna help us out. Again, the car is located at the Bob Penkhus Mazda, located at the Powers Motor Park, just off of Woodmen.

I bought a new 07 CX9 from that dealership, and I gotta say they were pretty straight forward. Really a no hassle deal, and since it took a little long to get the paperwork done, Bob Penkus himself gave my wife $20 for us to go get dinner. It was new but it was 08, there were 2 dings on it, which they fixed free of charge

No pictures unfortunately; they don't have anything up on the website. As far as the VIN, it's allegedly: JM3TB28VX80133452 Apparently (as of today), it's only 1 of 2 pre-owned CX-9's they have there, and the only black one.

    Thanks for looking!

Re: Need some Colorado Springs help. - Dealership visit.

Several things that didn't come out in the picture. Isn't "black", but more like a really, really dark grey. So dark it looks black in pictures, but next to the black, you wouldn't be able to tell.

Dings, pretty small, tried to get pictures, but they are pretty small.......:
Driver side from door, couple small.
Pass side front door 1 ding and couple sctraches that are through the paint.
Tail gate, ding near the passenger side tail light.
    Rear door jam, passenger side.
Scratch on the front bumper, hence the pic. Not trying to show you the bird poop.

He did say he thought their dent person couple get the dings out.

All the little flecks are pollen, not imperfections in the paint.

Interior looks to be in really good shape. 2 tone/textured front leather seats. Those are NOT cuts on the rear seat.
Rims had a couple small blemishes, but nothing noteworthy.

Looks to be in pretty good shape beyond the above mentioned. The color was nice, I really liked it. Started up nice, idled well. I didn't drive it.

I pulled onto the lot and saw a couple salesmen at the entrance. I told my fiance, lets see if we can get the salesmen to follow us. Sure enough, we drove by and started to cut through the rows cars, this guy chased us all the way across the lot and pops out in front of us from between 2 trucks. Seemed like a nice guy, but I don't know him from Adam. patrick pmickens@bobpenkhus.net

Oh, the car only comes with one switchblade key fob. I asked too late for a second one for my Volvo and it would be about $600 for a new one. I learned the hard way.

Boy, I'll say. Too cool Captain! Ask and you shall receive. That's just a super nice thing to do.

The wife has the exact truck, sans leather from the same place. Love that thing. Hauled a car back from Omaha with it, gets 22 on the freeway with the AC on, seats 7 actually comfortably, best stereo I have ever had in a vehcile.

If you negotiate any of the extra stuff, like the dings and key, they are straight about getting it done.
