Best race I have seen all year. The last lap was awesome! What a battle. I think we are going to see more like this, Lorenzo is looking really good out there.

Great, Great Race!!!! Wow!!! Sick.... I am glad Casey was Third
It was even better in person!! 100,000+ sweaty, screaming Spaniards really adds to a race!

Unreal, It was on silent in the bar I was watching it in. Do you think it was a better race than last years Laguna? I bet Jorge was PISSED. It will be interesteing to see how the rest of the season is between them. And next years Season as well.

God I hope Nicky can get a position lower than 10th, Hopefully with the changes that were made to his bike will help him well. He seems to pull a rabbit out of his hat every time he is on his home soil. It was good to see him get a 10th. Hopefully he will continue to improve as well. The battle between Pedrosa and capirossi was intese as well. Seemed great. Also with Edwards doing do well on his tech team. Awesome race, battles all around.

In the post-race interviews Rossi put it up there with Laguna, but edged this one out simply because it went to the end (whereas Stoner crashed with 5 to go in Laguna), and the dramatic last lap/last corner pass. One for the books indeed! Jorge was definitely a little miffed in the post-race press conference, but conceded he did not do enough to close off the line on the final corner. He still did great against Rossi, because that pass would be hard for anyone to defend!
Also... HOW ABOUT THE F*CKING STANDINGS?
Rossi - 106
Lorenzo - 106
Stoner - 106
Talk about a tight race for the championship!!!!

top 3 are in order cause of who has the most second place finishes, intense season for sure

Definitely the best race so far. Even with being at Motegi and seeing the winning pass 50 yards in front of me it didn't compare to the last lap of Catalunya!
I don't think anyone at my house was sitting down the last 5 minutes of the race, lol.
It's interesting to note that Stoner is the only Duc that is doing anything, the rest are in the bottom 5 in the standings. I'm glad that Nicky got 10th (best finish all year right?), but I think the new carbon fiber frame is really doing a number on these guys, maybe he finally found out how to ride it..
And how about "Crash" Takahashi? Dude has crashed out of 3 races now I think. At least he isn't taking any other riders out any more.
For my money I think Lorenzo is going to take it. Rookie of the year last year, and he's hanging with Rossi and Stoner consistently. I think they finished 8 seconds faster than 4th place, so noone is going to be able to touch them as long as they don't crash...

Right, Lorenzo being so young, how many championships will be under his belti n the upcoming years. Also, what will be Pedrosa's fate on the Repsol? Nicky one them a championship and they still canned him for not turning in the results/ bike controversy whatever. Dovisioso's fate in the upcoming years as well, will he keep his spot? Unreal

Be polite. Be professional. But be prepared to kill everyone you meet.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Just saw it...
I really do not think it is necessarily all a rider issue. Sadly, I think a lot of the problems stem from the switch to the four-stroke engines. Some manufacturers have just been much better at developing (and financing) the advanced engineering behind the 4-strokers. The manufacturers that only throw $5 mil at R&D instead of $10 mil, will obviously have the slower machines. Granted, some of the riders haven't been as quick to adjust to the new machines either. But mainly, I think there is just a wider gap in parity between the performance of the different four-stroke machines than there was back in the two-stroke era.
Go back to the 500cc 2-strokes and you'll see a lot more tighter races. Just my $.02.
Oh yeah - and get rid of that "traction-control" bullsh*t as well! I call it sand-in-the-vagina-control. Put on some balls and let the riders ride!!!
