Right? I just watched the trailer again and remember how emotional that whole first series was. It just draws you into the characters so easily. Hanks + Spielberg + WW2 = Gold.

We always tried to watch BOB all the way through at the ambulance station, but never were able to get through it. Calls and people dozing off/snoring interrupted every time! lol

He is credited with "British Soldier", but I could of swore he had a word in directing.

I still need to get the original BOB on dvd. I never caught all of the episodes. I thought it was cool because it was a saving private ryan type series (in terms of the atmosphere it tried to portray), but without the generally lower production values that come along with turning a good movie into a series. I'm excited they are making another. I might have to upgrade from basic cable to catch this.
