    Haga

Bummer man. Talk about being so close to the championship and having a wreck like that! Holy Cow. I am a Spies fan and would like him to win, but not win with his closest competitor crashing and getting injured and missing some races. I am sure Spies feels the same way. Hopefully, Haga will get somewhat repaired and be able to hopefully accumulate some more points at Brno. Nasty crash. What did you guys think of Biaggi's move in the second race?

    Re: Haga

What a nightmare weekend for Haga, good first race but then the huge crash in race 2 made that disappear quickly. He has some time to recover but he'll be hurting the next couple of rounds for sure.

Also its not like Spies hasn't made mistakes as well, each has taken advantage of each other's misfortune

Biaggi has always been and asshole, perhaps thats why he's one of my favorites

Cycle news says Haga should be back. Why is in the past Haga does good at the beginning and then emplodes towards the end of the season. Go Spies!

Biaggi must've been pretty amped to forget to turn and look for other riders. Or really pissed. At least Blake Young got to meet him up close and personal.

You'd think for as long as he's been riding, he would have remembered.

I was clapping when Haga went down, but after I saw the replay, I stopped clapping. That looked painful!

    Re: Haga

That was a nasty looking crash for Haga. It was good to see him up and walking around. Biaggi must have been really spacing out to try to get back in the mix without looking around. I hope Haga comes back, because I want to see Spies prove his dominance again.

I'm betting he'll ride the next round. He's one of the toughest riders out there.

    Re: Haga

Haga's a tough cookie. He'll ride at the end of July, mended or not.

I'm rooting for both Haga and Spies.

    • Haga, for hopefully getting that elusive championship (albeit on a Duc) in World Superbikes so he can retire.
    • Spies, for whooping everyone's ass in his first year. It's insane what this guy is doing in World Superbikes. I really think he made the right decision going WSBK instead of MotoGP.

I was also happy to see the RSV4s up front, but what is going on with the BMWs? They've got great riders...

Nevermind Kawasaki. I don't expect them to be any where but a backmarker...

    Re: Haga

Haga's wrist (ulna) injury will likely slow him down a little. Ben's team has left him in the lurch a couple of times so far so maybe Haga has a chance. It's going to be a close and exciting end to the season!

    Re: Haga

I'm a big Haga fan and was completely gutted when I saw that wreck. I was hoping he would finally get that championship he deserves. Sounds like he will be back and he is one tough cookie but he will need to be riding at 110% to keep Spies at bay.
I wish him the best, hope he can get that championship!!!

I think they are both awesome riders. I have been watching Haga ride hard 'till he crashes for a lot of years now. I have always hoped he would win a championship (particularly with Bayliss out). Good on Ben too for such a great year.

Do not count out Fabrizio! He is a fighter and if he gets close to win, I think that with his way of riding he will not think twice and he will take Spies out.

I bet he will be up there battling. Especially if Spies leaves and Haga goes away. Fabrizio is doing alot of learning right now I have the feeling.
