    Weird Battery Issue

Leave Bostons... everything is fine. Stop off at C470 and Kipling (3 minutes from home) to visit with some buddies that are working. Leave there and head home... no problems. I get home, head up my driveway and kill the bike in front of the garage so I can grab my garage door opener out of my backpack. Open garage, go to start bike back up... chug chug chug. Enough power to crank, but not enough to start.

I let the bike sit in the garage after trying to crank it a few times. Come back 20 minutes later and it starts right up. What gives?

Possibly it was simply too many starts and not enough ride time in-between those starts to fully recharge the battery.

Its because you didn't get me a raffle ticket! I warned you! Next time it happens meter your battery and see what the volts are at.

I had an issue like this awhile back. It was a weak connection on my negative terminal but I am guessing you checked that? If you need some help let me know, I got all the time in the world and ole boys multimeter still, we can troubleshoot the SOB. LMK

vacuum (vapor lock) issues? if your gas cap used to vent, but isnt doing so now (did it whistle before but quit lately?), you may have a pressure problem. next time it happens, try pupping the gas cap for a minute, and then try to start it.

i ended up replacing a gas cap because of this. bike wouldnt start if it sat for a short time (like a 10 min break on a ride), but would fire right up after leaving the cap open for a minute. havent had a problem since i replaced the cap.

    Re: Weird Battery Issue

Wasn't fuel related. I could audibly tell that the stator wasn't receiving volts, just thought it was strange that the bike would start just fine after a 15-20 minute sit.

Zach, it's still under warranty. Bring it by the shop and we can run a quick diagnosis.

The stator doesn't "receive" voltage does it? My vote is loose connection!
