We had a receptionist position open here at something around $9/hr and they received over 600 resumes, most of them heinously over qualified. It's just kind the way things are nowadays. Good luck tho mang!

Good Luck on the job search....
Man, I hope the best for you in you're job search, unfortunately I don't have any leads right now.
Yeah, I've been looking too. It sucks. I interviewed for a job back in March and they finally told me they got the "HR" go-ahead to hire me when the company put a stop on all hires.
Network and exposure.
BUMP....
I need some work! Anyone?
In the past, the RMIUG list had a lot of worthwhile leads:
http://www.rmiug.org/html/rmiug_jobs_faqs.html
The page will tell you to sign up for their yahoo group. I was on it for years and was very impressed with what kinds of jobs that showed up there.
Several seasonal jobs are hiring check out : Usps.com, UPS, Fedex etc.
Probably doesnt pay much since its only temporary, but its extra cash for
the holidays.
for technical jobs check out http://www.rmiug.org/ get on their email list. probably the same story as all the other leads you find, but you may find some unique ones here.
by technical i mean like sysadmin, programming, qc - some of the jobs ive seen here are pretty top notch.
wow i should learn how to read. next time i will try to read all of the posts before opening the mouth.
