    Tire size

I've looked on the past 3 pages for info before asking this but I'm sure you all might get tired of tire questions, but here is mine.

I have the zx 12r with the rear stock as 200 - 50- 17 . Question, should I go with a 55 instead, and will my tire hugger still fit. It looks close already.

Q: #2 I live in Parker and can you suggest the best possible place to get the front and rear done for the least amount of money with the best amount of workmanship.

I get most other stuff done at Fay Myers but the last time they did a tire for me they scratched the shit out of my polished wheel and didn't do anything to make it right.

    Thanks,
    Clay

    Re: Tire size

The outside diameter of a 200-55 is going to be almost an inch more than the outside diameter of the 200-50.

So if you have over 1/2-inch of clearance between the the 200-50 on there now and the hugger, the 200-55 should fit with the hugger on there.

That would be all well and good if the tire manufacturers actually followed the sizing.

Buzzard, you need to get on a Ninja forum and ask this and find a brand and model of tire that people you trust say will fit. Once you do you should give OTD a call!

wow that was a random rant.
And as a paying customer I do expect to get my rims back without scratches. i know guy in there garage that will not scratch my rims and change way less. So yeah that would be a reason to not go back.

To add I do look at my rims alot, I love cleaning my bike and hate to see any flaws, especially when i pay for that flaw

    Re: Tire size

Yeah, I have about a quarter of an inch of clearance from tire to tire hugger. So I guess I keep the 50. Thanks for the feedback on this one.
