+1 on the luck...put it somewhere else if you care about it.

I've always been paranoid about leaving my bike in the open overnight. I'd find somewhere else to keep it.
I have no idea what you're talking about.

I wold say you've been lucky. I had mine stolen just a couple of months ago, and I was very lucky (and surprised) that it was recovered. Unfortunately it is waaay to easy to break the steering column lock (big flat-head screwdriver) and ride the bike away. I would highly suggest using another lock as well, like a disk lock or heavy duty chain lock through back tire (too small and they will cut it with bolt-cutters, which I learned the hard way)
Also, this bike is a '91 cbr f2, so that also goes to show that just because it's not a newer, more expensive/valuable bike, thieves don't necessarily care....they'll steal anything. Also, it was on the street (south denver), under a street light. Also had an attempt to steal it when I was living in Thornton a couple years back.

The pitty wOULD actually be a deterent!! Out here in my area of the ghetto, they would probably take the dog and leave the bike.
I wouldn't do that to the dog though, I used to do bully breed rescue back home.
I gotta get a storage unit or move where there's a garage. I want to get a dirt bike anyways.
    Go big or go home

Too bad Lucas wouldn't hear anyone trying to steal anything. Brenna can smell a man from a mile away and would start barking immediately.

Re: Where are these bikes getting stolen from!?!?

I finally got outta the apartment. But when I was there I kept three motorcycles in my garage. Besides chains and cables, I cut squares of sheet metal and painted them flat black then duct taped them to the windows. You couldn't see in and it wasn't obvious something was done to raise attention.

Shortly after, someone broke in a few garages down and stripped a sport bike inside overnight. I would recommend doing this if you have a garage with windows. If they saw all the stuff in mine, I'm sure it would've been me they hit.
