Looks pretty balla to me, front is still a bit too aggressive, but I'd still probably buy one.

its like a mix bbetween ducati and yamaha.. that would be the greatest bike ever!!
It kind of reminds me of an Aprilla
I think an R8 would be just about the right size for me. I would definitely buy one also, looks bad ass though.
That is not a yamaha rendition?
it looks like a beast! and it would be a 750 killer!

As long as it's an 800 stuffed in a 600 chassis. I'd dump the 750 and be all over an R8.

what the hell year is that? and im sure its a 600 boared to a 7 i like the r8 more=)
The R7 was produced from 1999-2001.
Don't get too excited about that R8. PB is always throwing drawings of "concept" bikes out there and they have no credible information that the manufacturer is even considering such a bike.

I like it....well, except for that "little man in the boat" in the air intake. Just sayin'......

The most amazing thing about this photo is that this particular bike actually has head lights and rear view mirrors.
Since Yamaha only built 500 of them, the R7 was (in many countries) only sold to riders who had a shot at winning some races. Needless to say, they were in high demand for racing teams and did not come with head lights so, if you see one on the road, that's a pretty rare event.
If I could only own one Superbike from the '90's, the R7 would be it. Of course a 916 would probably mollify me for a bit, but the R7 is made of pure unobtainium IMHO.

Chevy Chase: Wait a minute.. you must be..
Elliot Gould: That's right, gringo.. the Killer Bees.
The R7 (also known as the OW02 back at the factory) was built from scratch and cost 3 times what an R1 costs prior to purchasing the additional race kit.
The cylinder head parts are CNC'd like in F1, it has titanium valves and conrods, and it has forged pistons with nickel plated tops to help it survive the 13,700 rpm redline. Common place? today, but very exotic stuff for the late 90's i think.
The black aluminum twin spar frame has an extra layer of aluminum to add torsional stiffness which is twice that of the 1999 R1. Very exotic frame. The suspension is Ohlins all around (predictably) and the steering geometry and swingarm pivot location are adjustable.
Add the race kit, which most people would have, and you get 160 bhp (up from 100). The race kit basically consists of a big carbon fiber airbox which turns the intake setup into a ram-air system. There is also a competition spec'd carbon fiber end can.
It may not seem like much today, but at places like Assen, Monza or Phillip Island the R7 would briefly top 180 mph and Noriyuki Haga (#41) rode it to near perfection.

If I'm not mistaken I think the original cost was around $30K.
