    Interesting

On my way in to work this morning, the digital message board at 88th and I-76 read "Save a life. Watch for motorcycles"

I was happy to see a reminder, being that that particular stretch is always rather congested where the 2 highways come together and people merging over. I'm curious as to who has a say into what gets puts on the boards? Not sure if anyone would know this.

I've actually seen that message on the boards in Eisenhower tunnel a few times as well. From what I understand, CDOT controls the signs - so I'm sure the messages come from there.
I found it very interesting how many motorcycle awareness and safety signs I rode by in Utah. I swear every third billboard or so was referencing bike safety - it was awesome!

I think it's a great idea. Its easy to lose focus when driving, we all do it at times. It's quite possible that something small like this could make the difference.

I have actually been in the control room that they change the signs from. Its just a dude at a computer that puts whatever he wants on there (Im sure with some management direction). But literally he can type what he wants, or use the canned messages like the buckle up one.

    What did the sign say?

I was busy texting, drinking my Starbucks, listening to BJ and Howie, and driving aggressively to notice.

    Re: Interesting

CDOT has been putting on a motorcycle safety campaign for a couple years now, so it's not surprising that they'd use the big message boards for it. I've seen that once before too.
