I was just curious, what would your bike do if it was running either too rich or too lean? And, what would you do to fix this?

too lean = knocking, loss of top end power, spark plugs look white (engine is running hotter than it should)
too rich = "bogging" slow throttle response, crappy gas mileage, plugs are black and can foul.
To cure it you'd need a re-jet with carbs, or have fuel injection re-mapped. SV from 2000 should have carbs... I've yet to see something that isn't really screwed up run lean up here, but too rich is quite a common problem.
