And you're paying a lot more than if everyone had access to public, sustained preventative care that offered such services as early screening for things like cancer and diabetes, smoking cessation, weight control, and diet training. Preventative care is many orders of magnitude cheaper and getting people regular access to it will cut health care costs across the board.
