He was diagnosed with a "Slight" case of anemia several weeks ago here in the US.
Personally I think it is all stress induced. All the symptoms point to that, the Doctors are struggling to find anything physical wrong with him (and these are the best Docs in the world). He is fine all week, fine during pracitce but as soon as he loses the race he is sick to his stomach. Hum?
If he is really sick then I apologize but I just can't handle the whining from him. Give me a break, there are many riders that have gone out with multiple fractures and not cried like he does.
