One way to make a living...

I know this has been up before, but I was just playing with my website and testing video hosting.

Here's a fight clip that makes that guy from the pizza place, look like your little cousin Becky.

I'm sure he's a real polite man, when you're not fighting him for money.

Not sure what about them makes you think that they are unintelligent.

Are you stereotyping people who fight for money or fame or otherwise? If so, I'll have you know there are many "fighters" who are plenty articulate and educated. Pro boxers, MMA guys and UFC types, Even just some folks with the temperment that just like to scrap-it-up every now and then... Definitely not uneducated, people.

Hell, I train with two guys who are surgeons in the Denver area.
IQ, Doug?... either of you ever get paid thousands to operate on somebody?

Or maybe it's not that you're sterotyping fighting-types, maybe you're stereotyping men. Afterall, I hear plenty of people (mostly girls) who insist "men are dumb". Then again, I assume you're both guys. I don't know if I've ever met IQ. His gender indicator, and "Lunatic" avatar has me thinking so, anyway. So that seems unlikely that you'd be stereotyping guys.

Are you two stereotyping black people as being stupid? Obviously, it's not a huge secret that there is a certain segment of society that thinks blacks (and I suppose minorities in general) are dumb. Is it that?

I mean... the whole lot of them were cussing like crazy and using ethnic slang. But me and my friends are known to do that (as I come from a Mexican heritage). I know that my friends are not dumb. I'm certainly not. I may not use the word "nigga" like some blacks do, when talking with friends, but it's not really my word to be using.

Regardless though, I'm just trying to figure out why is it that you, Doug and IQ, think that these fellas are dumb, and can't spell the word "fight"? All I got out of that video was that they were fuckin' HUGE, and some tough SOB's. (And one guy's gonna be needing some eye care)

Barn, it's really too bad we don't have more info on those rocket scientists in the vid. I'm sure they are very well educated and probably are involved with MENSA. Yeah, I know you are well educated and well spoken. I also know that you enjoy ju jitsu (sp) and other types of fighting, which do take lots of talent and practice to master the techniques used. But, those two are nothing more than street thugs who happened to have a buddy with a camera to tape one guy getting his ass kicked. I dare you to go dowtown and find other street thugs who can read and write at a 6th grade level. It's not going to happen and those two are uneducated punks.

Well, all sarcasm aside, your point may be accurate, but I still don't understand the need for the comment in the first place.

Granted, IQ posted it first, but you admittedly were thinking the same thing and were just "beaten to it".

Where does the urge to even *post* something so offbase, that it doesn't even resemble the content of the topic!

It would be like if somebody posted a video of some kid kicking ass at a video game, or dominating a chess match against some billion dollar computer, and I posted up...

"I bet that kid couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag"

I mean... It's just a totally un-related, completely asinine, and virtually meritless train of thought, to post something so off-topic, for the sake of appearing superior, or simple ridicule... Whatever it was.

At least with #1Townie in that stunter thread, the kid really is a bad speller, and you're bangin' on him with some point of reference...
(whether I condone it or not)

But posting a "I bet he can't spell..." here though, just makes you and IQ look like a couple of losers.

Street Thugs, Rocket Scientists, and Poor Spellers are one thing...

But nothing quite tops the idiocy of making (or condoning) a jeering post, that has no... AND I MEAN ZERO, relevance to the subject.

EDIT~ Somebody posted something in the other thread, about belittling others to make yourself feel better. Now I’m actually starting to think there was something to that.

i'd fight him!! as long as i have my .40 cal, 3 clips, and at least 200 feet between us when the bell rings

and as far as fighters being stupid... i used to mix it up a LOT (or is it alot? ) and i dont think i'm stupid by any means.

but excluding myself, how about this guy...

HENRY MILLIGAN: A boxer and a scholar, 1983 National Amateur Heavyweight champion who fought and won against Olympic heavyweight gold medalist Henry Tillman. He once fought Mike Tyson in a televised fight. Milligan recently worked his way through NYU Business School acting in commercials (e.g., for "Sports Illustrated" sneaker phone promotion).

    he's in MENSA...

    or this guy...

Bobby Czyz: A former two-time World Boxing Association (WBA) Cruiserweight Champion. Czyz now commentates on many nationally-broadcasted fights.

    he's in MENSA, too.

That is Kimbo he's a porn actor, bareknuckle fighter and streetthug.
It looks like Kimbo, the thug, can fight and take a punch. But, when a Boston cop and amatuer MMA fighter, Ghannon "the Cannon", challenged him to a bareknuckle fight he got worked over. It shut up Kimbo and the pimp's whole crew. That pimp piece of shit and owner of sublimedirectory.com (white dude in the vid) needs a bullet in his brain. If I can find that vid I will post it here. It will also explain my opinion on the pimp.

Just watched the Kimbo / Gannon fight. It can be found:

    http://www.toomuchtimeonmyhands.com/...pride.wmv.html

Nothing ultra special, but this guy definitely put up a better fight. It sucks that they just want it to be boxing, and not a true fight. I think Gannon would have choked him out pretty early, if that were the case.
