Emsley took 5th in NOV-U?
Peter would be the last one to tell you so I will.
He had a very successful 1st year in the MRA:
He started back in the 2nd wave with the rest of the newbies at the start of the season but steadily progressed every single race until he was starting in the first wave/3rd row late in the season.
He raced every weekend.
He did not fall down once.
He had no mechanical problems.
He didn't spend a ton of money.
He is now within a few milliseconds of 2 minutes at HPR.
In short, a novice season most of us could only dream about.
Must be the "fish and chips" sponsor?
Peter had a great year.
Congrats to him and everyone else!

Be polite. Be professional. But be prepared to kill everyone you meet.
"Motorcycles tell us a more useful truth: we are small and exposed, and probably moving too fast for our own good, but that's no reason not to enjoy every minute of the ride."

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
--Thomas Jefferson

Thanks guys. I did better than I thought I would this year, so I'm pleased. More importantly, I had a fantastic time - I was like an excited kid at Christmas before each race weekend, and I couldn't have spent those weekends with a better group of people.

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

Understatement of the year. Erik, you were hauling some serious ass on that bike. Congrats on the 4 first places.
Yeah, everyone who was able to scrap by and race this year deserves a round of applause. You guys are the ones who kept the MRA going. While I didn't make it to as many races as I would have liked, I enjoyed the hell out of the ones I did see! Maybe next year I'll see you out there. Be sure and wave each time you pass me.
Congrats to everybody. I cant wait to start my first race season next year. The track body work is going on for winter storage and the bike will finally be track only next year!
