Probably more like the $80-$120 range. I'm not sure what my stator was since it was replaced the first time by the gentleman I bought my bike from and the second time it was covered under parts warranty.
Edit: I guess Bike Bandits has my stator priced in the $300 area

Jim hooked me up when the same thing happened with the rect/reg/battery.Jon, drop me a PM and I'll give you the quick diagnostic procedure, all you need is a multimeter that will read DC volts 0-20, and AC volts 0-100.
