A few of us are headed to IMI on Sunday. We'd like to get a good group going. Anyone interested? It's only $20 for all day.

If the bike doesn't go in for a pre-dragon check over I will be down if weather is good. Other wise bike is getting a little TLC before the trip. Tires, brakes, service, etc......if I don't make it have fun, or let me ride your bike
Where is IMI I got Saturday - Wednesday off. I want to go to the track...
Ride hard, Ride smart, Ride at your own pace. We will wait for you.

Is there a map or a website for this IMI??? Thanks for the tip Gramps; I'm new to the whole track thing. What would be a good track for a beginner?

I-25 Exit 232 (Erie), then right 1.5 miles. It will be on your right. In general terms, it's about 20 miles north of downtown Denver. $25 to ride all day. Helmet required; full gear recommended.Originally Posted by boriqua_n_co";p="187108
Aerial Photo of IMI. The asphalt track is the one of the left. All the other stuff to the right is dirt.

SCR is a fine track for a beginner, or even pueblo. There is no really 'bad' track for a beginner, as long as you know where your skills are and dont push your limits to hard you will be fine. Just remember, whatever track you are on... HOLD YOUR LINE, you will be fine racers/faster riders will be able to get around you just fine as long as you hold your own line.
The problem w/ IMI though is you will also be out on the track w/ go karts, that have a tendancy to spin out.

If we can get enough riders they will let us run sessions and we won't have to ride with the go karts. They've had some accidents and it's been my experience that 4-5 bikes will do the trick. Plus, I don't think there will be a ton of karts this early in the season but I might be wrong.
Based on 03/06, you would be very wrong. There were lots of karts and lots of bikes. We were doing 20 minute sessions each.Originally Posted by archie251";p="187170
