Has anybody gotten their hands on one of these yet? I'm dying to get to check one out. While I never had a lot of the fogging issues on my RF-1k a lot of folks have complained about, it sounds like they have worked on that with this newest helmet. Hope it also means that the RF-1k will have some rocking good deals coming up soon too!

Well I just called them and this is a pre-release sale and they don't have a solid date yet on the release for the new model. Rumor says end of October, but there is another faction of folks saying they need to get rid of more RF-1k's before releasing the new ones. Regardless, I called in to CompAcc and he has a msg in with their rep on my particular model/size. As soon as he calls me back, I'll be ordering! Woo-hoo!

I only have 3 and one is a butterly rf1k and a small I tried to wear that one it was kinda tight... But it made me go reeeeal fast. In my mind.

Part of the big deal on the new ones is that they are SNELL 2010 which means they had to change their shells a bit, particularly in the larger sizes. My only complaints I have on my RF-1k is that the chin area could be a bit roomier and that my forehead starts to feel the helmet after about four hours with it on.
What has been released thus far on the 1100's states that the chin area is bigger and that they have even more replacement padding - so that will hopefully help my forehead issue. Otherwise, they are saying that the fit from 1k-1100 is extremely comparable. I asked the guy twice that if I wore a L in the old with such and such discomfort, I'll be ok in a L on the new? He says I absolutely should be. And if not, this company has a good return policy. Worth the risk to me for the price, so we shall see!

Matty, I don't think so. I think anyone can get that price. Jus click the "Get the best price" link, type in your email, and order.

I just get emails from them since I do regularly shop with them. But go to the site and hunt down the helmet ya want. Click on "click here for best price" and they will email you the discounted price. You will have to click from that email to order at that price or call in.
The Shoei rep called him back and my particular model is scheduled to hit US distribution centers on Oct 1st so I should be getting it the second week of Oct. Not sure on the other designs/models. He made it sound like they may not all have the same release dates....
