    Ralph's Ride.

    It was a good ride.

80th/Washington, 36 to Boulder, 119 up to Nederland, 72 over to 7, down into Lyons and on to 7 West Pizzeria in Longmont.

    1. A good, well ridden route with respect to the purpose. The cagers, on the other hand, were a bit unruly....
    2. 7 West Pizzeria gave us the roof for our raffle and food. Big ups.
    3. Damn good wingy and BLT plus tea/water for $17.
    4. Some good money for Ralph and his medical costs.

I can only speak for myself, but as someone that was present for the event resulting in the need for this ride, it was just what was needed for Ralph, his family, his girlfriend and those of us that enjoyed riding with him, even if it was just that day that ended so badly.

Aphrodite.....nice work. Shenna....awesome raffle and organization.

    Re: Ralph's Ride.

Thanks, I know it was hard, the idea of the ride was to have a slow social bike ride, and my timing was off a bit for the trip to Nederland was expecting some to show up in Nederland so was reluctant to just leave early, thanks for being patient. Over all it wasn't bad but, the non CSCrs just reinforced my love for CSC and the style there of.

Thanks for coming when I know there was so many other things you could have done with your day.

I think some of us needed some closure....and to make sure Shenna was doing alright. I was happy to see that this was much trimmer than I what I thought it might be.

Goose and Gary did the right thing by forcing another pre-ride mtg to review hand signals.

    Re: Ralph's Ride.

Big props to Brandi for hanging in there and making sure things happened. Personally I'm glad that more people didn't show as that was the best $60 bucks I've ever spent for raffle tickets! Excellent ticket to win ratio. I gave 2 prizes back for re-draw and won one of them back again! Just thank our luck stars Sully wasn't there as there were 2 helmets raffled off and she would have won them both. We need a list of the sponsors posted up to give credit where it's due. There were certainly better than average prizes and the vendors should be supported if we want them to continue to back us for this or any other type of event. The pics I have are not great, but I'm sure Wicky will fix that by posting up better ones for us.

As for the fund from this and the 50/50, Terri and ABATE of Colorado has generously offered to keep watch over it in their fallen rider fund until the bills are sorted out between insurance and medicaid. Ralph has a tough time ahead of him and I'm happy to see fellow riders helping out.

    Re: Ralph's Ride.

The only pictures I got was in Nederland, so I wasn't much help.

It was a good ride, and wasn't as bad as it was starting out to be. Sorry about taking off @ Lyons, but I only have so much patience. I hope my pace for the ride was ok for everyone, I know I wanted to go faster, but that's not what we were out there for. Thanks to all the sponsors for this and everyone involved, I'm sure Ralph will appreciate it.

George, it was nice to finally meet you, hope you guys get to use that tattoo GC.

Brandi, thanks for posting the photos and for the organization of the ride. Was glad it ended up being tame, and we couldn't have asked for nicer weather!

Actually those are Junes pics that she posted but, it was a decent time with bike peeps.....Glad you made it.....good time for sure. The ride was organized by a few of us actually, just George and I are the only CSCrs.

I emailed them to Shenna. She was showing them to him on her iPhone. She said he was pretty happy about it.

Soooo does anyone have updates on Ralph? I was getting them from Shenna for a while but she seems to have broken up with him or something because the updates have stopped completely, even after asking her.

    Re: Ralph's Ride.

From what I understand he was moved out of ICU once all of the surgeries were complete and was in rehab at Craig with paralysis that may or may not be permanent and full brain functionality.

As for Shenna his family shut her out, everything wrong with Ralph's life was due to her and it was her fault that his life is ruined according to them. They screwed her over in a big way so I'm not surprised that you have not heard from her. She tried desperately for about 8 weeks to let him know that she was there for him, but they were relentless. Ralph ended the relationship.
