Saturday 10/2 9am Starbucks in Golden on 93

We're riding Saturday October 2nd. Meet at Starbucks in Golden at 9am, ksu 9:30. Lunch at Mary's Lake Lodge Estes Park and then a convoluted route down that involves going down 7, potentially back up left hand and then home via P to P and coal creek or golden gate. If we do the whole thing it will be dubbed the LASAR ride. (Pronounced lay-zer with your pinky finger against your bottom lip) It stands for Long Ass Sore Ass Ride.
Pace will be moderate to slow at the back as that is where I will be riding. You can do what ever you like if you are leading.

Sounds like a 2 hour ride if you don't stop for lunch or cops

170+ miles from the meeting spot + mileage to and fro + I have an idea to add ~100 miles... puts it at about 335 miles for me. Yep. Two hours for sure.

???? I couldn't find the "f'ing idiot" smiley or the "you must be moronic" smiley anywhere. Admins, we clearly need at least one of those on this board.

Yet another great day riding in Colorado with friends. It was cool that Cathy, Erik and Dan could meet up with us for lunch and we could all ride together down 7 from Estes.

We saw a black sport bike being picked up by a wrecker on 7 with the state patrol there. I couldn't tell what type of bike. Hope it wasn't a CSC'er.

Great day! It was a nice surprise at the lodge running into Cathy's group. We hit a few droplets of rain and damp pavement south of Ned on the way home. Despite the blind cagers it turned out to be a great ride.

You all are pretty dang awesome yerselves ;-)

Thanks for the invite Chris and June. It wasn't our normal long-ass ride, but it was worth it to stop and take a break with everyone and enjoy some good conversation.

Go easy on the long ass ride bit... everyone works up to longer rides over time. But yeah, I told you so.

    Awesome time as always!

When you start out at 4am, i have to be at work at 7,and there is a full moon you can make the route in short time in summer. Now that the sun comes up later and the deer are out it's hard to do 160 mph at this time of year.
