Thread: Art Thread

    Art Thread

    Hey,

I just want to start a different from Photography thread for artists working in other mediums. It can be anything from paintings to digital renderings to sculptures and so on. Heavy photo-manipulations can go in here as well. Post your own work and skip photography as there is another thread for just that.

    Hope it catches on. Cheers.

    Re: Art Thread

I started a thread recently on space art, which is what I do,:

    http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forum...ad.php?t=48235
Formerly MRA #211 - High Precision Racing

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

    Saw it. Very cool stuff...
Actually a reason I started this one as I felt space art is too narrow of a category. so I wanted to get others to join in.

    Re: Art Thread

If anyone here could create nice artwork (besides the few that can), then we would, hahaa. Cool stuff. I'm another one of those "imaginitive" people that have wondrous and beautiful ideas, but on paper, it would look like this:

I scribble occasionally but since I've been doing it for a living close to 30 years, I don't do it for pleasure any more. Sad, really.

3D Studio Max - Lancia motor.

Stippling with pen and ink on vellum. Roughly 250 dots per inch and done by hand. My eyes can't handle the detail anymore...

Motor is cool dude! I never got to work on one like that... but I did do an electric motor model for Audi a while back. it was rendered to look like a drawing, but it was made in 3D.
